International Award To EA

Inside this issue:

The efforts of Ethical Agents in the marketing of TriGene Advance in Australasia have been recognized by the parent company of the total TriGene range, MediChem UK, making the worldwide distribution award for 2008 to the New Zealand based company.

Considering the huge global success of TriGene Advance, with its patented nanotechnology this is quite an achievement and something the team at EA can justifiably be very proud of.

Original or Generic?

Being agents for some of the most original R&D from companies like Vétoquinol, Calolcompagniet and MediChem, Ethical Agents Ltd is uniquely placed to comment on generics and R&D.

Troy Laboratories in Australia, with their value added products such as Fiprovet and Propercillin, have shown that generics may even

surpass the reference product in performance.

Vétoquinol specialise in R&D and shy away from generics in general, but they have emphasised the fact that generics may give an advantage over just price with products such as Clavaseptin, which not only has the same bioavailability as the reference product but also better palatability

and smaller tablet size so has better owner compliance.

“The same but cheaper” line does not apply in these instances of extra points of difference.

Conversely that line does not apply when cheaper products are clearly not the same as the original in active ingredient formulation. These points are discussed inside.
