With the strong dependence of veterinary practices on retailing for survival, in both country and city areas, opportunities need to be created to help veterinary competiveness.

The seasonal nature of veterinary practice presents many opportunities in both large and small animal clinics.

Some conditions are not seasonal however and often require continual reminders to promote client awareness.

Dental health is one such field where clients need to be constantly informed as to the benefits of preventative therapy. With a cluttered calendar overseas veterinarians often promote a dental month and so Greenies® feel this is an ideal

marketing tool for Kiwi practitioners. With flea season, puppy season, Christmas promotions etc it seems that the ideal month for such promotion is August.

Consequently Ethical Agents Ltd, in conjunction with Greenies®, are doing special promotions on Greenies® during the month of August.

Because of the late time frame for this season the promotions will run through to the end of September thus,

for 2004, dental month will actually run for two calendar months, a situation which can only be for the benefit of participating practices and their clients.

As the coupon above shows, for the months of August and September, for any purchase of two Greenies® , another will be provided free.

This is a tremendous incentive for clients to monitor the dental health of their pets.

Counter rebuttal against pernicious data

Congratulations to central districts area manager Simon Couper and wife Mandy on the arrival of a beautiful daughter, Jamie Leigh, last month. Simon had to make a hurried exit from the Christchurch conference as Mandy went in to labour a couple of weeks early but managed to get home in time for the birth. Jamie Leigh takes after her mother, thankfully, and we have one very proud father. The whole team are delighted for the happy couple.
