New Phone Voices

The very efficient Anne Cuthill in accounts is unfortunately leaving us to return to her native Scotland to be close to family. We will miss Anne but she will not be forgotten.

Like all Celtic races the Scots have a great sense of humour and she has left a book of Scottish jokes to utilise in future editions of EA News.

Taking over from Anne in accounts is Robyn French. Once a primary school administrator Robyn has worked in a family business with her husband and partner for the past 12 years and is still involved part time in the business.

Family is made up with daughter Rachel 24 and son Richard 20. They also have a menagerie of two Bearded Collies (BJ and Abby), two cats and a cockatiel.

As well as being secretary of the Papakura Rugby Club, Robyn is also treasurer of the Collie Club and got a great thrill when her own Beardie, BJ, became Breed Champion and won Best in Show at the Collie Club’s August 2003 Champ Show.

She is involved in Discover Dogs at NZKC Kennel Club grounds, giving the public the opportunity to see the Bearded Collie breed and make enquiries about their personalities and care.

Robyn also enjoys reading, walking and gardening.

Barbara Quigley is another very excited to join the EA team, as P.A.

Known as BQ she is from a rural background and has always had a strong interest in animals.

From dry stock farming, breeding and showing Labradors, Pony club, hunts and breeding Welsh Mountain/Arab ponies in her youth to later milking Friesians in a rotary shed, Barbara has also dabbled in Angora goats and breeding and showing Rottweilers, while maintaining her interest in Labradors and Arabs .

She commenced working in a vet clinic in 1986 and has been involved predominately in reception and administration, with some experience in nursing.

Interests include property development with partner Steve, including furniture restoration and her vegetable garden. Two sports minded sons, Daniel 16 and Aidan 9 also ensure Barbara is kept very busy away from EA!

Senility:

An elderly man went to his doctor and said, "Doc, I think I'm getting senile. Several times lately, I have forgotten to zip up."

"That's not senility," replied the doctor. "Senility is when you forget to zip down."

Old Age

(This one thanks to Vetservice!) An elderly couple had dinner at another couple's house, and after eating; the wives left the table and went into the kitchen.

The two elderly gentlemen were talking, and one said, 'Last night we went out to a new restaurant, and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly.'

The other man said, 'What is the name of the restaurant?'

The first man thought and thought and finally said, 'What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know... the one that is red and has thorns.'

'Do you mean a rose?' 'Yes,' the man said.

He turned toward the kitchen and yelled, 'Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?'
