Husher® is a very simple but effective training aid. It is made from stretchable elastic with webbing around the elastic to limit the expansion of the dog’s snout. The elastic exerts a firm yet humane pressure around the snout, similar to that applied by a canine pack leader to maintain dominance.
When pressure is applied around their snout, the controlled expansion of Husher® tires the muscles very easily. After a few short barks, the dog finds
it easier and less tiresome not to exhibit nuisance behaviour. This amount of pressure still allows your pet to breathe (both front and back of the mouth), pant, drink and eat with ease.
The neck strap is attached at three points, which makes it very difficult for the dog to dislodge. The straps are attached to a buckle which clips at the back of the animals head.
The humane way to control:-
- Attention seeking barking
- Barking in the car
- Barking while interacting with other animals
- Barking while being taken for a walk
- Barking because they are bored or stressed
- Barking at neighbourhood disturbances and passers-by
- Unwanted behaviour

How to select the correct size Husher for your dog
Selecting the Husher size that fits your dog correctly is important.
Using a piece of string, measure the circumference of your dog's snout by starting at point 'A' and taking the string around your dog's mouth finishing back at point 'A'. Next, measure the distance (bridge length) from 'A' to 'B' as shown on diagram 1.
Compare the measurements you have taken (A to A) and (A to B) against the sizing chart to select the correct size Husher for your dog.
Fitting the Husher®:
Once you have the Husher® with you, identify the top side of it for correct fitting. The top side has the word ‘Husher®’ branded on it for easy identification. Slide Husher®, top side up, over your dog’s snout so that it fits snugly. If it is difficult to fit, you should consider the next size up if it is too tight, or the next size down if it is too loose. An incorrectly fitted or wrong sized Husher® will not change the unwanted behaviours of your dog. It is very important the correct size of Husher® is used otherwise your dog may not be able to pant, drink or eat. Husher® has the black elastic at the top which is slightly cut back so that it won’t rub up against your dog’s face.
Fasten the buckle together behind your dog’s neck and tighten the strap so that it is firm, but not overly tight. If you find that after pulling the strap tight, your dog still removes Husher®, then try wrapping the strap once around your dog’s collar before you snap the buckle together
Do not leave your dog unattended while wearing Husher® until you are certain it can pant and drink properly. Check your dog regularly.
