Active Constituents: Neomycin Sulfate 45.9 g/L Nystatin 18.38 g/L Triamcinolone acetonide 1 g/L Permethrin 10 g/L Indications: Treatment of otitis externa (inflammation of the auditory meatus) due to bacteria, yeast and mites in dogs and cats. Directions: After cleaning of the external ear, introduce a pea-sized quantity of Oridermyl® and massage the base of the ear gently. Treat once daily until healing occurs. Clean any surplus from the ear flap. Presentation: Oridermyl is available in a 10 g tube. Special Warnings: Special Warnings for each target species: None. Special precautions for use in animals: Do not stain the fur with the ointment in order to avoid accidental ingestion when licking, especially in cats. Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals: Wash your hands after administering the product. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water. In case of contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soapsuds. In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical advice and show the package to the physician. People with known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients should avoid contact with the veterinary medicinal product. Use during pregnancy and lactation: As Triamcinolone acetonide is reprotoxic and teratogenic in laboratory animals and as no data is available on target species, use of the product is contra-indicated in case of pregnancy or lactation. Overdose: In dogs and cats with healthy ears, doses equivalent to 4 times the therapeutic dose for twice the recommended treatment duration led to minor irritation. An increase in ALT and AST occurred occasionally in cats; this was rapidly reversible after treatment ceased. Adverse Reaction: Minor irritation may occur following administration. If irritation persists or worsens, administration should be stopped. In dogs, particularly older dogs, temporary deafness has been observed in very rare cases. In cats, neurological symptoms such as ataxia and tremors have been observed in very rare cases. If such symptoms occur, administration of the product must be stopped. Contra-indications: Do not use in animals with perforated tympanic membrane. Do not use in cats weighing less than 1.5kg.
